Albanian net-pay calculator
Work out your net pay in Albania for standard employment: the contributions and the stepped progressive income tax (TAP) both come off gross. The result is an estimate based on the rates in force for 2026.

Quick calculation
Enter the monthly gross salary — the calculator instantly shows the take-home net, the social and health contributions and the progressive income tax (TAP), plus the employer cost. The result is an estimate for orientation, not an official decision.
Gross salary before tax and contributions
The child allowance is an ANNUAL relief (via the DIVA declaration), not part of the monthly withholding at source — so this option does NOT change the monthly net pay. It is informational only.

The salary falls in the transitional 50,000–60,000 Lekë band: TAP is charged on the amount above 35 000 L (not on the whole gross). At this edge the scale steps up — net can dip slightly as gross rises past the band edge; this is the reform's transitional design, not a bug.
Notes on this calculation (1)
TAP is computed on GROSS pay — not on gross minus contributions. The contributions (social + health insurance) and the tax are deducted in parallel from gross.
TAP is computed on GROSS pay — not on gross minus contributions. Contributions and the tax are deducted in parallel from gross.

- Health insurance — employer (1.7%)
- 1 020 L
- Total cost to the employer
- 70 020 L
The employer contributions (15% social + 1.7% health) are a cost on top of gross and never come out of net pay; the employer social contribution follows the same ceiling.
In Albania your employer withholds the social and health contributions and a progressive income tax from every payslip, so what lands in your account is already net. This calculator starts from the gross salary and deducts exactly what is deducted.
The one fact that surprises people: the income tax (TAP) is charged on gross, not on gross-minus-contributions — the contributions (11,2% for the employee) and the tax run in parallel. And the scale is tax-free up to 50 000 L, then 13%, then 23% at the top.

How the monthly deduction works
Two things come off your gross in parallel: the contributions (social insurance + health insurance) and the progressive income tax (TAP). Crucially, the TAP is charged on the full gross — not on gross minus the contributions.
The scale is stepped: tax-free up to 50 000 L, then 13%, then 23% on the top band. Two transitional steps at the band edges mean net can dip slightly as gross rises past an edge — the calculator shows that honestly, and the tax-scale page explains it in full.

About
How the figures are sourced.
Why your net pay differs from the gross on the contract
The contract number is gross. What reaches your account is net — after the contributions and the progressive income tax.
Because the tax and the contributions are both charged on gross, the calculator can show exactly where each lek goes.
What the breakdown tells you
The distribution bar splits the gross into net, contributions and tax, so you can see where each lek goes.
The employer cost sits below as a separate row — money the employer pays on top of gross, never a cut from your net.
